Phansidewa, 05th April: Sensation prevailed in the Dudh Khawa Gach area of Phansidewa after a student committed suicide by hanging from the noose. The deceased, identified as Alema Khatoon (17), had earlier appeared for the Madhyamik examination this year.
Reportedly, Alema had gone to the bank on Tuesday. Later at night, after returning from her maternal uncle’s house, she ended her life. As soon as the news of the incident was received, the Phansidewa police reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. The police are investigating the entire incident.
