Siliguri, 30th September: The student council staged a road blockade in Siliguri demanding employment and immediate re-opening of educational institutions.
On Thursday, members of the organization staged a protest rally from the Congress party office. The rally toured through Hill cart Road and Hasmichowk, following which, the leaders and activists of the student council staged a protest demanding jobs and the re-opening of educational institutions soon.
Meanwhile, traffic congestion was created in Hasmichowk. When the situation was brought under control, a scuffle broke out between the police and the protesters. However, the police were successful in lifting the protesters from the road.
