Siliguri, 24th August: Several Indian Army personnel serving as security workers at an American University in Afghanistan have been repatriated safely with the help of the British Government and the British Army.
Meanwhile, retired Indian Army personnel Sudesh Lama and ex-constable Nirmal Giri, who hail from Salbari in Siliguri, arrived at Bagdogra Airport today.
After landing at the airport today, both of them narrated the current situation in Afghanistan. Sudesh Lama said that he returned safely with the help of the British government. Meanwhile, Nirmal Giri said that the situation is very dire. There is an atmosphere of fear all around. They safely returned with the help of the British Embassy.
