Kharibari, 26th August: Police exposed a factory of stolen goods hidden behind a grocery shop in Balukgara, Kharibari, and arrested one person in connection with the case. The arrested individual has been identified as Bappa Majumdar, a resident of Balukgara, Kharibari.
For the past few days, police had been receiving multiple complaints regarding thefts of water motors, gas cylinders, bicycles, and other items across Kharibari. During the investigation, they traced the stolen items to the factory operating behind the grocery shop.
According to police sources, a raid at his house led to the recovery of 55 gas cylinders, 11 bicycles, 7 fans, 6 water motors, 21 mobile phones, 6 motorcycles, and several other items.
The accused was produced before the Siliguri court on Wednesday as further investigation into the incident continues.
