Siliguri, 09th January: Two stolen motorcycles have been recovered and one person arrested in connection with a bike theft case under the Khalpara Outpost area in Siliguri. The arrested accused has been identified as Razzak Islam.
Sources said that on the night of December 25, two motorcycles were stolen from the residence of Agrasen Road resident Bikash Kumar Sharma. Following the incident, the bike owner lodged a written complaint at the Khalpara Outpost.
Based on the complaint, police initiated an investigation and arrested Razzak Islam from the NJP area on January 05. During interrogation while on remand, the two stolen motorcycles were recovered. Another stolen motorcycle was also seized, taking the total number of recovered bikes to three.
The accused will be produced before the Siliguri court again on Saturday. Further investigation into the case is underway.
