Siliguri, 06th January: A complaint was lodged at the police station regarding the theft of a bike from the pipeline area adjacent to Gate Bazar, on November 10. After proper investigation, the Police then detained Biswajit Barman from the NJP area. Information about a man named Bapi Roy was gathered through police interrogation.
The Police detained Bapi Roy from Ambikanagar on December 31. After taking him on remand, the whereabouts of the stolen bike was learned and then finally recovered by the police.
The accused Bapi Roy was produced at the Jalpaiguri court on Monday.
