Rajganj, 21st November: The Siliguri Special Task Force (STF) arrested two individuals with approximately 57 kg of cannabis near the Fatapukur toll gate on Friday. The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Iftikar and Mohammad Parvez, both residents of Araria district in Bihar.
Acting on a tip-off, STF stopped a pickup van near the Fatapukur toll plaza and, during a search of the vehicle, recovered around 57 kg of cannabis packed in three sacks. The consignment was reportedly being transported from Cooch Behar to Bihar via Siliguri.
Both accused have been taken into custody and will be produced before the Jalpaiguri District Court on Saturday.
