Alipurduar, 17th May: The birth anniversary of the esteemed egalitarian Jugal Kishore Raiveer was celebrated at the Kajali Halt Samata Kendra in Jateswar under Falakata Block. On Friday, a statue of Jugal Kishore Raiveer was unveiled within the premises of the Samata Kendra.
As per reports, the event witnessed the presence of numerous dignitaries, including Nikhil Chandra Roy, Vice-Chancellor of Panchanan Barma University, Cooch Behar. In honor of the egalitarian’s birth anniversary, Roy also organized a rally that circumambulated various areas, including Kajali Halt.
The ceremony was graced by the attendance of former professor of North Bengal University, Dr. Girindra Narayan Roy, former headmaster of Jateswar High School, Jiban Kumar Pal, and eminent poet Jagdish Aswar among other distinguished guests.
