Siliguri, 23rd January: A statue of legendary poet Rabindranath Tagore was unveiled today at Manik Bandyopadhyay Sarani of Ward No. 21 in Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
Honouring the Nobel laureate, Ashok Bhattacharya, Chairman of Board of Administrator in SMC, uncovered the statue in the presence of Ram Bhajan Mahato, Nazrul Islam, Shankar Ghosh and Ward Coordinator Swapna Dutt. The statue has been made at a cost of around 6 lakh rupees.
