Rajganj, 23rd April: The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb, on Thursday, inaugurated the community kitchen built under the initiative of the owner of Darjeeling Public School Vijay Saha.
The temporary community kitchen has been set up in front of the Darjeeling Public School premises located in the Purba Dhantala area.
As per the report, meals are to be cooked regularly in the newly built kitchen which will then be dispatched to every booth of the Fulbari area to distribute among the poor families.
The Minister stated that such an initiative has been taken keeping in mind the helpless situation of the needy during the lockdown. He further maintained that they aim to feed two thousand poor people per day.
The initiative has been highly praised by the Minister.
