Rajganj, 09th April: The State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb held a meeting on Thursday at the Rajganj BDO office with the Rajganj Block administration to ensure whether the people returning to the Rajganj block areas from other states are at home quarantine or not.
Jalpaiguri District-in-council President Uttara Barman, Rajganj MLA Khageshwar Roy, Rajganj Panchayat Samiti President Purnima Roy, BDO NC Sherpa, BMOH Subhadeep Sarkar, and many other administrative officials were present during the meeting.
The Minister stated that around 1200 people have returned from other states recently and are currently in home quarantine. Besides, 13 people have been kept in the isolation ward of the Rajganj Lions Hospital. He furthers inquired whether the stranded laborers are receiving proper food or not on behalf of the block administration.
