Siliguri, 09th April: State Special Observer for polls Anil Kumar Sharma appointed by the Election Commission arrived in Siliguri. It has to be noted that the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 would be held in three districts of North Bengal on April 19.
Reportedly, Anil Kumar Sharma landed at Bagdogra Airport from Kolkata on Tuesday evening and departed for Siliguri to review the poll preparations and law and order situation in the three districts.
Significantly, Siliguri Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar welcomed the Special Police Observer at the airport.
