State-Aided College Teachers’ Welfare Association launches campaign at Uttar Kanya with multiple demands

Siliguri, 13th November: Teachers from various colleges in North Bengal, under the State-Aided College Teachers Welfare Association, launched a campaign at Uttar Kanya in Siliguri on Wednesday with a list of demands.


The protest began with a gathering at Jalpai More in Siliguri, after which a rally was organized towards Uttar Kanya. The campaign was focused on putting forth a list of 10 demands. However, the march was stopped by a large police contingent at the Tinbatti More.

Later, several representatives from the association proceeded to Uttarkanya and submitted a memorandum outlining their demands.
