Siliguri, 22nd April: The Calcutta High Court has annulled the 2016 School Service Commission (SSC) recruitment panel and revoked 25,793 recruitments. As a result, Anamika Roy, a competent SSC teacher from Siliguri, expressed profound disappointment after the court’s verdict led to the loss of her job.
It is to be noted that in the previous year, Anamika had lost her job to another candidate Babita Sarkar due to irregularities in the academic data. Following a profound legal battle, the court reinstated Anamika and she resumed her teaching career at Harihar High School in Jalpaiguri. However, on Monday, the Calcutta High Court announced the decision to nullify the entire panel of SSC 2016 which impacted over 25,000 jobs, including Anamika’s.
In response to the court’s ruling, Anamika expressed her dismay and dejection. She stated how she would think that the qualified would not have to encounter such problems and that the judicial system could not be trusted. Despite setbacks, she expressed the possibility of returning to another legal battle to fight for her job.
