Naxalbari, 30th January: SSB jawans have seized two tractors loaded with illegal sand from the Mechi River in Naxalbari.
According to reports, on Thursday, the jawans of the 41st battalion of SSB conducted an operation in the Choto Maniram area. Upon seeing the SSB personnel, the tractor drivers abandoned the vehicles and fled the scene.
The SSB successfully seized the two tractors, which were loaded with sand, and handed them over to the Naxalbari police station. The police have initiated a search for the drivers.
In a related incident, a joint operation involving SSB, police, and the land revenue department led to the seizure of 16 tractors loaded with sand in Kharibari on Wednesday.
