Kharibari, 03rd May: In a successful operation along the Indo-Nepal border, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) apprehended three individuals and seized a significant amount of drugs. The arrested individuals have been identified as Rabindra Barman (26) from Goursing Jote, Lakshiram Soren (40) from Baktarvita in Buraganj, and Sujit Mandal (35) from Adhikari.
Acting on a tip-off, the SSB personnel from the 41st battalion conducted a raid at a restaurant located at the Traffic More in Panitanki on the Indo-Nepal border in Kharibari. During the operation, the accused individuals were detained by the SSB based on suspicion. During the search, the officials recovered 205 grams of morphine worth lakhs from their possession.
Following the raid, the SSB handed over the arrested individuals to the Kharibari police for further legal proceedings. On Friday, the trio was presented before the Siliguri Sub-Divisional Court. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
