Siliguri, 25th May: Hearse and ambulance service commenced under the aegis of Srishti Foundation. Today, the Chairman of the Board of Administrators of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Goutam Deb, inaugurated the said service by cutting the ribbon.
The second wave of COVID-19 is wreaking havoc all over the country. The number of infection, as well as deaths, is increasing day by day. In such a situation, the voluntary organization Srishti Foundation has taken the initiative to provide ambulance service to patients affected by coronavirus at minimum cost. Also, two hearses and an ambulance service have been started by the organization.
Chairman of BoA SMC Goutam Deb said that the organization will provide ambulance services to patients suffering from coronavirus at a low cost. In addition, medicines and food items will be provided to the patients. “I will talk to the organization to provide free ambulance service,” Deb added.
