Islampur, 16th January: A speeding private bus lost its control and overturned on the National Highway 31 in the Sonapur area under Chopra police station in North Dinajpur district, injuring 10 passengers on board.
According to sources, the bus was traveling from Siliguri towards Malda. After the incident, the local people took the injured to Islampur Subdivisional Hospital.
Traffic on the highway came to a standstill for about half an hour after the incident. The passengers on the bus told that the speed of the bus was very fast.
