Siliguri, 03rd July: In an effort to curb accidents caused by speeding vehicles during the monsoon, the traffic police have deployed speed detection radar to monitor and control the speed of vehicles.
According to reports, the Bhakti Nagar Traffic Police launched a campaign near the Bengal Safari Park aimed at controlling vehicles travelling at excessive speed for the past few days. As a result, the speed vision radar was employed to monitor and penalize violators exceeding the limited speed.
Police sources disclosed that about 37 speeding vehicles were issued with challans as part of the operation on Wednesday.
