Siliguri, 22nd January: Special security measures have been put up at the New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Station in Siliguri ahead of Republic Day.
According to reports, on Monday, RPF Commanding Officer Kamal Singh conducted a special inspection at the NJP station. The inspection was conducted given the safety of the passengers. Significantly, the officials have stepped up vigil with the use of sniffer dogs.
In this regard, RPF Commanding Officer Kamal Singh stated that thousands of passengers commute through the NJP station every day. As a result, a special search operation was conducted at the entire station area ahead of Republic Day. Additionally, every train has been set up with special monitoring.
