Alipurduar, 27th February: Son from Alipurduar has set an exemplary example by constructing a battery-operated cycle for his ailing father. Ranjit Kumar Paul, a resident of Chechakhata near Alipurduar Junction under Block No. 1 of Alipurduar was seriously injured in a road accident in 2018. The said accident injured his leg and back.
Hardware businessman Ranjit Kumar became almost unable to walk after the accident. He would often face a lot of trouble to reach his shop which was three kilometres away from home.
Meanwhile, Ranjit’s son Prateek on seeing his father’s helplessness decided to make a motorcycle with the help of a battery and made the cycle at a very low cost. Although it has a pedal system, the cycle starts running wild as soon as you press the accelerator whose maximum speed is twenty-five kilometres per hour and can run up to thirty kilometres at a time. Ranjit Kumar Paul can ride this cycle made by his son without any difficulty and has become his favourite vehicle.
