Siliguri, 21st November: The Special Operations Group (SOG) arrested two persons with 300 grams of brown sugar. The arrested accused have been identified as Halbadilsad Khan and Mohammad Islam.
It has been learned that the SOG officials, acting on a tip-off, arrested two men in a raid near Khaprail More of Matigara on Saturday night.
According to SOG sources, the market value of the recovered brown sugar is around Rs 60 lakh which was brought from Dalkhola.
The arrested individuals were sent to Matigara police station and were sent to Siliguri court today. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
