Siliguri, 08th August: The Special Operations Group of Siliguri Metropolitan Police recovered a large number of intoxicants during a raid in the Pradhan Nagar area, on Saturday night. A person, identified as Nima Dorje Tamang was arrested in the incident. He is a resident of Sikkim.
According to police sources, Tamang had boarded a cab from Siliguri Junction and was on his way to Sikkim with the drugs. The SOG searched the vehicle and recovered 144 bottles of cough syrup and 10 thousand intoxicating tablets. He was produced at the Siliguri court today.
