Rajganj, 08th March: Social worker Debashish Sardar has extended a helping hand for the treatment of a severely injured youth in a road accident. On Friday, he offered financial assistance to Bulu Bairagi, a resident of Business Colony of Ambari under Rajganj block.
As per details received, on March 4, Bulu Bairagi’s youngest son, Bilas, had gone to drop his friend home from a wedding ceremony. Subsequently, he met with an accident in Gora More near Sahudangi. The young man suffered a severe head injury in the incident. He was later rescued and transported to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
However, after 4 days, his condition began to deteriorate and he was admitted to a private hospital in Siliguri. However, due to the financial crisis, the treatment could not commence. In this regard, Bulu Bairagi stated that his son was severely injured in a road accident on Sunday and was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Siliguri. Bulu worked as a painter and struggled to make ends meet. Thus, he has appealed to the people for his son’s recovery.
Meanwhile, upon receiving information about the incident, Debashish Sardar met with the family on Friday, and extended assistance. In this regard, Debashish Sardar stated that a youth from Ambari was severely injured in a road accident. Upon receiving the news, he spoke with the family and handed over financial aid for the treatment. He added that more money is required for the treatment and appealed to the public to come forward and assist the youth’s recovery.
