Naxalbari, 19th January: Social worker Bidyut Das organized a picnic for underprivileged children on Sunday. The event took place at Rathkhola in Naxalbari, where around 700 children and elderly individuals were invited to join the picnic.
The picnic was held at a field near the Forest Department area at Rathkhola Tukriajhar. In addition to the children, elderly citizens also participated in the event.
In this regard, Bidyut Das shared that the initiative was aimed at bringing joy to underprivileged children who often miss out on such experiences. This marks the 11th year of the picnic event.
The day was filled with food, music, and sports activities, bringing smiles to the faces of the children. In addition to meals, various games and prize distributions were also organized to further celebrate the occasion.
