Siliguri, 05th February: A series of social welfare activities were organized in Siliguri to mark the 165th birth anniversary of Ramchandra Deb.
As in previous years, the Ramthakur Temple Committee initiated various social service programs to commemorate the day. The celebrations commenced on Wednesday and will continue until February 10.
On the occasion, blankets were distributed to the underprivileged, and stationery was handed out to school children.
The event was attended by Sonam Lama, IC of NJP Police Station, PC OC Shamik Pal, and Tapas Chatterjee, the councilor of Siliguri’s Ward No. 32, among others.
