Rajganj, 19th October: Trinamool leader and social activist Gautam Goswami extended a helping hand to three helpless families ahead of Durga Puja.
Raghunath Roy, a resident of Fulbari Purba Dhantala, is physically challenged and somehow earns a living by begging in his tricycle. However, he is allegedly deprived of government help. Learning about his helpless condition, Goswami, on Monday, handed over new garments to the needy family.
He also provided financial help to another disabled person from the same area. Also, he handed over news clothes and two sacks of rice to another needy family.
In this context, Gautam Goswami said that every year during Durga Puja, the Trinamool Yuva Congress steps forward to help several poor people. Accordingly, this year, they extended a helping hand towards some helpless families of the Dabgram Fulbari assembly constituency.
