Siliguri, 08th May: Under the initiative of Bapan Das, a police officer as well as a social activist, a market was set up in the Situvita village under Bidhannagar Panchayat on Friday, where people were allowed to collect ration free of cost. Such an initiative has been taken keeping in mind the helpless situation of the poor amid the pandemic.
Several needy people belonging to the Rajbongshi community of the area visited the market and picked up the necessary commodities as per their choice.
