Siliguri, 26th July: In support of several demands, the Nagarik Committee of Ward No. 36 of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) submitted a memorandum to Mayor Goutam Deb. On Wednesday, keeping in mind the convenience of the residents, a memorandum demanding 6 major points, including, the improvement of roads and drainage systems along with a solution for drinking water, was submitted.
During this, the members of the Ward’s Nagarik Committee arrived at the Municipal Corporation by organizing a rally under the leadership of Ward Councillor Ranjan Shil Sharma. After arriving, the members undertook a short protest demonstration. Later, after a discussion with the Mayor, the members of the Nagarik Committee, including Councilor Ranjan Shil Sharma submitted a memorandum concerning their demands.
