Siliguri, 04th June: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation is considering several plans to beautify Lalmohan Moulik Niranjan Ghat. It has been learned that SMC administrator Goutam Deb inspected the ghat.
After the inspection, he said that there were many complaints during Chatth Puja last year. He added that paved ghats will be built for the people this time by strictly following the rules of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), to save the Mahananda River.
Deb said that after receiving some funds from SMC and the state government, paved ghats will be constructed under the Green City project. Staircases are already present on both sides and another staircase will be constructed in between.
