Siliguri, 12th February: A campaign was launched by the Siliguri Municipal Corporation to free Siliguri from plastic. With the help of the Bhaktinagar Police, the Municipal Corporation conducted a special operation on Wednesday.
During the campaign, about 70 kgs of plastic carry bags were seized from the Bangla Bazaar of the Ward No. 42 under the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. The license of a shopkeeper named Suraj Chhetri was also seized.
