Siliguri, 08th May: On the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, along with the celebrations at Kolkata and Shantiniketan, Siliguri Municipal Corporation too has initiated for a grand celebration at Baghajatin Park, Siliguri. In this regard, preparations have already begun. The occasion will be graced by Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb along with various other cultural artists.
Reportedly, the day-long program will commence with a garland ceremony on the idol of Rabindranath Tagore and Prabhat Pheri. On this occasion of the 162nd birth anniversary of the Noble laureate, 162 artists will be singing together. With regard to preparations, this morning, SMC workers cleaned the idol of Rabindranath Tagore at the ground of Baghajatin Park, Siliguri.
