Siliguri, 04th August: Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) organised a coordination meeting with various Durga Puja committees on Monday at Dinabandhu Mancha, Siliguri ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.
The meeting saw participation from officials of the police department, fire services, electricity department, and other government bodies.
Representatives of several Durga Puja committees across Siliguri attended the session, where administrative authorities shared important guidelines and suggestions.
Discussions focused on key aspects such as traffic management, fire safety, sound pollution control, pandal construction rules, and safe electrical connections.
The civic body urged all Puja organisers to adhere strictly to regulations to ensure a safe and orderly festive season.
