Siliguri, 29th April: The West Bengal Municipal Health Workers (Contractual) Union protested in Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) demanding the removal of the Program Manager of the Municipal Primary Health Center 10.
As per details received, Program Manager Dr. Abu Hena reportedly misbehaved with an ASHA worker of Municipal Primary Health Center 10. Additionally, the worker’s incentives were discontinued. This enraged the health workers and prompted the protest.
On Monday, SMC health workers gather and stage a protest demanding the replacement of the program manager. Additionally, they handed over a memorandum to the MMIC of Health Department of the SMC.
