Siliguri, 24th May: On Friday afternoon, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, along with Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar and other councilors, visited Ramakrishna Mission’s Sewak House in Salugara to hand over mutation documents. Reportedly, Swami Shivo Premananda, Secretary of Jalpaiguri Ramakrishna Mission, received the documents.
Earlier, an attempted property occupation by miscreants at Sewak House led to a police investigation and the arrest of five individuals by Bhaktinagar police.
Further investigations revealed that the land had been donated to the Ramakrishna Mission, but the mutation process was incomplete. Consequently, the necessary mutation was finalized, and the documents were officially transferred to the mission.
