SMC Councillor Ranjan Sil Sharma engages in verbal argument during board meeting

Siliguri, 30th November: Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) Councillor Ranjan Sil Sharma was involved in a verbal argument with the Mayor, Chairman, and MMIC during the 34th board meeting held on Saturday.


According to reports, the dispute occurred during the motion phase of the meeting when Councillor Sharma raised issues concerning his ward, Ward No. 36.

He complained about the improper cleaning of garbage in the ward during Chhath Puja, stating that no workers were sent to address the issue. Sharma also expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of the Jorapani River, which he claimed was causing blockages in the drains in the area.


The argument escalated as Sharma addressed these issues with the Mayor, Chairman, and MMIC.
