Siliguri, 19th May: The second wave of COVID-19 is a worrying situation in the whole country. Meanwhile, strict restrictions have been imposed in the state. In this situation, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation has extended a helping hand to the COVID-affected families.
It has been learned that on Wednesday, around 300 families were provided with one month’s ration on behalf of SMC. The food items were handed over to 5 borough officers in the presence of administrator Goutam Deb and members of the BoA.
In this regard, Goutam Deb said that SMC has started the process of giving ration from today. In the coming days, ration will be delivered to every affected house.
