Siliguri, 15th August: The 75th Independence Day of India is being celebrated all across the country. Addressing the nation from Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chalked out plans to pave the way for the country’s rapid development in the coming years.
Accordingly, the day was also celebrated on behalf of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. SMC administrator Goutam Deb hoisted the national flag at around 9 am today. BoA members Ranjan Sarkar, Vivek Baid, SMC commissioner Sonam Wangdi Bhutia, and other renowned people were present at the programme.
Ranjan Sarkar said, “Our main goal is to maintain the unity and brotherhood of India.”
