Siliguri, 14th April: On the occasion of Bengali New Year and State Foundation Day, various programs featuring singing, dancing and processions took place in Siliguri.
As per details received, Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) and various other cultural organizations held the celebrations from Saturday evening near Baghajatin Park with Street Alpana, musical performances, and dances.
On Sunday, a grand cultural program was organized at Baghajatin Park to commemorate the occasion of the State Foundation Day and Bengali New Year. Following this, a procession commenced from Baghajatin Park to Surya Sen Park via Hill Cart Road, drawing enthusiastic participation from students of various schools and colleges and members of the cultural society.
