Siliguri, 19th August: A youth was caught red-handed taking money for filling up Lakshmi Bhandar scheme form at Duare Sarkar camp in Siliguri Haiderpara Shiv Mangal School. Siliguri Municipal Corporation administrator Goutam Deb handed him over to the police.
Deb visited the said school today to inspect the camp and also met the borough officers there. While leaving the school, he spotted a youth charging money to fill the scheme’s form. He immediately called the police and handed the youth over.
Although the state government has strictly informed that money cannot be taken in the name of filling up forms, many people have been arrested in different places for charging money for government schemes.
Goutam Deb said “I am going everywhere and talking to the borough officers. It is unfortunate to see such incidents happen.”
