Siliguri, 12 April: In an initiative undertaken for the development of the Dabgram-Fulbari area, Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) Chairman Saurav Chakraborty today laid the foundation stone of four new roads. Along with this, two high-mast lamp posts were also inaugurated.
Addressing the gathering after the inaugural program held at Bhola More, SJDA Chairman said that State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is working on various schemes for the beautification of Dabgram-Fulbari along with other projects in this region. He further said that in the future too, developmental work would be done keeping in mind the needs of the people.
The road conditions in the Dabgram-Fulbari area have been in a noticeably deplorable state, which has also led to occasional demonstrations by the local residents of the area. Acting towards solving these grievances, SJDA has initiated this project, which reportedly will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore.
