Siliguri, 06th November: Chairman of SJDA, Sourav Chakraborty took a stock of the dengue situation in the Bidhan Market area under the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Council. The chairman inspected the situation in all the markets and also created awareness among the businesspeople and shopkeepers.
During this, members of the Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority, Gautam Goswami and Ranjan Sheel Sharma and other officials were present. The members of the Bidhan Market Babsayi Samiti were asked to open plastic tarpaulins over the shops as well.
Apart from this, he visited the vegetable market, and fish market and took stock of the condition of the drain in the area nearby. After the tour, Sourav Chakraborty said that strict vigil is being maintained in all the markets of Siliguri. He also added that they are keeping a watch on all the important things so that water does not stagnate in the market area. He also talked about the condition of some drains in the market being in poor and unmaintained condition. He added they are trying to work to meet most of the requirements as much as possible.
