Siliguri, 17th October: The Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) sponsored the initiative to install Bullet and PPZ cameras in various areas along Siliguri. On Tuesday, SJDA Chairman Sourav Chakraborty officially inaugurated all the cameras at the Mahatma Gandhi More in Siliguri. As a result, every puja mandap under surveillance will be closely monitored.
According to reports, about 55 bullet cameras and 11 PPZ cameras were deployed in the Siliguri and Dabgram regions to be operated till Chhat Puja. An estimated 17 lakh rupees was spent on the installation of the cameras.
