Siliguri, 20th November: Bhakti Nagar Police have successfully arrested six individuals before they could carry out a criminal act in the Sevoke Road area. The arrested miscreants have been identified as Bittu Saha, Ganesh Chakraborty, Khiroz Roy, Tapan Roy, Pranay Sherpa, and Tarvez Alam.
Reports indicate that the suspects had gathered on Tuesday night with the intention to commit a major crime. However, the Bhakti Nagar police received a tip-off about their activities, prompting immediate action.
During the operation, police recovered a country-made pistol, ammunition, and several sharp weapons from the miscreants. The arrested individuals were presented before the Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday.
The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
