Siliguri, 28th March: In a significant breakthrough in curbing criminal activities in the city, the cops of Bhaktinagar police station of Siliguri Metropolitan Police have arrested six criminals before committing a major crime. The arrested accused have been identified as Obaidur Rehman, Allah Rakha Sheikh, Vikas Roy, Bikram Paswan, Raj Kumar Nawar and Rahul Chhetri.
As per police sources, acting on a tip-off on Wednesday night, the undercover cops of Bhaktinagar police station launched an operation in Chandal More area and arrested all six criminals. Following the arrest, the police also recovered certain weapons from the criminals. On Thursday, the police produced all the accused before the Jalpaiguri court, while further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
