Six arrested while planning armed robbery in abandoned railway quarters in Siliguri

Siliguri, 24th September: The police apprehended six individuals who were allegedly plotting a robbery in an abandoned railway quarter in the Himachal Colony area under the jurisdiction of the Pradhan Nagar police. The suspects have been identified as Bittu Khan, Sunil Mallik, Ravi Chakraborty, Rajesh Chakraborty, Pawan Bishwakarma, and Pankaj Singh.


According to reports, the police received a tip-off about a gang of approximately ten criminals planning the robbery. Subsequently, the Pradhan Nagar police officers conducted a raid on the location and successfully arrested six of the miscreants while some members of the gang managed to flee. During the search, the police recovered various weapons intended for the robbery from the possession of the arrested individuals.

The six accused have been produced before the Siliguri Court on Tuesday. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
