Siliguri, 11th November: To make the common people aware of dengue and to promote a plastic-free city, the Ward No. 25 Committee and Borough IV Committee of Siliguri Municipal Corporation took out a rally, on Friday. Ward No. 25 councilor and Borough IV Chairman Jayanta Saha, including ward residents, participated in the rally.
During the rally, the local people were given cloth bags to encourage them to use them over plastic poly bags. Furthermore, awareness regarding dengue was also spread through the rally.
Speaking on this occasion, Jayanta Saha said that the Siliguri Municipal Corporation works round the clock for the common people from ground zero. However, he added that the prevention of dengue is possible only when common people are aware of the disease. Hence the program was organized today.
