Siliguri, 04th January: In a significant achievement, Siliguri’s Tiksha Paul brought laurels by participating in the Discus Throw competition at the national level. Tiksha is a resident of Bhakti Nagar and a student of Siliguri Girls High School.
As per details received, besides academics, Tiksha had a keen interest in athletics. Significantly, Tiksha was selected for the state level by securing the first position in a district-level discus throw competition. Finally, she got to compete at the national level after securing the second position in the state.
To participate in the competition, Tiksha went to Nagpur, Maharashtra. After the competition, she arrived at Siliguri on Wednesday. On Thursday, Tiksha was felicitated by the teachers upon her arrival at the school.
In this regard, Tiksha stated that she has been playing sports since a very young age. She added that apart from academics she is working hard to improve herself in Discus Throw.
