Siliguri, 09th August: The Subrata Sangha Club in Siliguri has officially begun preparations for this year’s Durga Puja with the traditional Khutti Puja ceremony. This year marks the 67th edition of the club’s Durga Puja celebrations, which will feature a unique theme titled ‘Drishtikon’ (Perspective).
According to the club’s members, the theme is inspired by the idea of viewing various aspects of life from different perspectives. This concept will be reflected in the design of the Puja Mandap, which will be crafted by artists from Medinipur using social and eco-friendly materials.
Bhaskar Biswas, Club Secretary and President of the Puja Committee, along with Puja Committee Secretary Rabia Nath, expressed confidence that this year’s theme will resonate with the public. They anticipate large crowds visiting the Puja Mandap, drawn by the innovative theme and design.
For added security, the entire Puja Mandap area will be monitored with CCTV cameras to ensure the safety of the visitors.
