Siliguri, 15th May: Siliguri’s Babupara resident, Subham Kumar Agarwal, has achieved an exceptional milestone by securing the first position nationwide in the ISC (Indian School Certificate) Class 12th examination this year. Subham, a student of St. Joseph’s School, received a congratulatory phone call from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, acknowledging his remarkable accomplishment.
In recognition of Subham’s achievement, Mayor Goutam Deb paid a visit to his residence today to extend his personal congratulations. Accompanying the Mayor were Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Mayor-In-Council members Kamal Agarwal, Shobha Subba, Sikta Dey Basu Roy, Borough Chairman Jayanta Saha, and Trinamool’s Darjeeling District Sabha leader Papiya Ghosh, among others.
During the phone call, the Chief Minister conveyed her congratulations to Subham and expressed her best wishes for his future endeavours. The Mayor expressed his pride in Subham’s achievement, emphasizing that his success has brought honour to the city. Mayor Goutam Deb particularly expressed his delight as Subham is a student of St. Joseph’s School, which is located in the Mayor’s ward.
